Moisture Injection
What is Moisture Injection?
As we age, the production of vital building blocks in the skin, such as collagen, fibroblasts, and hyaluronic acid, decreases. This results in the formation of wrinkles, and the loss of skin elasticity can lead to sagging. When combined with environmental factors, hormonal changes, smoking, and alcohol use, the signs of aging become more pronounced. This is where moisture injection comes into play.
Hyaluronic acid is crucial in helping the skin resist aging. In the moisture injection procedure, hyaluronic acid, minerals, and other activating molecules are injected into the skin.
Known colloquially as “gold needle therapy,” moisture injection strengthens the skin’s ability to retain water, meeting its hydration needs. As a result, the skin becomes moisturized, while collagen and fibroblast production are also stimulated.
Depending on the individual’s needs, substances like calcium hydroxyapatite, mannitol, and vitamins may be added to the injection. Even a single session can provide significant benefits.
Where is Moisture Injection Applied?
The most common areas for application are the face and neck, as these are the areas most affected by aging. It can also be applied to areas with acne scars, helping to reduce these marks as the skin rejuvenates. The décolleté area can also benefit from moisture injections, particularly for smoothing out vertical wrinkles.
Moisture injections can also be used on areas with scar tissue. The hands, often showing clear signs of aging, are another common treatment area.
Visible improvements begin shortly after the procedure. Depending on the materials used, cell regeneration may speed up, leading to a more radiant and youthful appearance.
Moisture injection can be repeated based on the skin’s needs. The number of sessions required for the desired effect varies from person to person.

How is Moisture Injection Performed?
The area to be treated is numbed with local anesthetic creams. The procedure is done using the mesotherapy technique, where a specially prepared mixture is injected into the deeper layers of the skin. Micro needles are used to reach the desired layer, and the cocktail tailored to the skin’s needs is injected beneath the surface.
