Eye Light Filler
What is Under Eye Light Filler?
Especially for women, when they reach their 30s, about one in every two women fears dark circles under the eyes. Under-eye bruising and puffiness are often caused by genetics. Sleep problems, alcohol consumption, and certain allergic conditions can trigger and worsen these issues.
Looking at the structure of the eye, the eyeball is located inside a bony structure called the orbital cavity. Within the orbit, special fat pads surround the eyeball and eye muscles. The orbital septum, a membrane-like structure, acts as a barrier in front of the structures that fill the orbit. Over time, due to genetics or aging, the septum may loosen, no longer providing adequate support to the fat pads. As a result, these fat pads become more visible. As a person ages, the facial bone structure may thin, and the bone appears more recessed. Additionally, the SMAS layer, which contains muscles, fat, connective tissues, and nerves, sags, leading to tissue loss in the under-eye area. This creates a hollow appearance under the eyes, which can appear darker due to shadows.
Under-eye light filler is a highly effective solution for these types of issues.
However, it’s important to note that under-eye light filler is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It is effective for correcting under-eye hollows and dark circles but may not work for larger under-eye bags, especially in older individuals. In such cases, a lower eyelid aesthetic surgery may be a better option. For younger individuals with smaller bags, light filler can be beneficial, but it should be applied carefully, and a doctor’s consultation is necessary to determine the best course of action.
What is the Content of Under Eye Light Filler?
The under-eye light filler used to treat dark circles contains hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by the body. This type of filler is specifically designed for the delicate under-eye area.
How is Under Eye Light Filler Applied?
This technique differs from other types of fillers. The filler is applied not beneath the skin but directly onto the bone. The filler is injected slowly to ensure a smooth result. Typically, the area is numbed with an anesthetic cream before the procedure, so the person does not experience any pain.
What to Expect After Under Eye Light Filler Application?
Under-eye light filler is a deep treatment. As a result, you may notice a slight improvement immediately, but the full effect will be visible after about a week. Additionally, the filler retains water well, so after a week, it will integrate with your skin cells, gaining volume and spreading to the under-eye area.
How Long Does the Effect Last?
Since hyaluronic acid is used in under-eye light fillers, the results are long-lasting. The effects of the filler generally last for about a year. Depending on individual factors, some people may notice that the results last up to three years. After each subsequent application, the duration of effectiveness increases.
